Amour Recruitment is working in partnership for this well-established business who is seeking a Service/Workshop Manager based at their depot in Portsmouth
This is a very hands-on role where you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the service department duties to include assisting or covering workshop control, for holiday/absence.
Key responsibilities:
· Cultivate successful business sales culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business, for both Workshop and Parts.
· Cultivate successful business sales culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business, for both Workshop and Parts.
· Fully integrate yourself in our systems and processes so you have broad brush understanding of all, as diverse as jobs card creation, customer updates, retail costing, workshop control, parts processes and systems
· Manage the day-to-day workshop activities and to ensure productivity, stock control, and quality performance measures are met. Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability by managing and engaging the team’s productivity and financial target attainments
· Identifying and implementing training needs for all staff, to include staff recruitment.
Personal requirements:
- Experience in the Service Department as either a Service Manager/Workshop Controller or Aftersales Manager is essential
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise deadlines
- Have a proven track record of managing a team of staff
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 6 pm and every other Saturday 8am to noon
Salary: Circa £55,000 plus Bonus
