Amour Recruitment is working exclusively for a great company based in Waterlooville who due to continued growth is seeking an experienced Buyer.
This role can be offered on a hybrid basis (2 days max at home) if needs be.
Key responsibilities:
- Raising POs for materials and component parts.
- Identification and assessment of new vendors.
- Expediting supplier deliveries and negotiating with suppliers to achieve improvement on lead times.
- Negotiating pricing and other terms with suppliers
- Completing supplier reviews
Person requirements:
- Experience in a Purchasing or Buyer role is essential (ideally in the building trade)
- High degree of competence in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point).
- Excellent numerical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiating skills.

Hours: 08:00 to 5:30 (with a half hour unpaid break)
Salary: up to £50,000 (depending on experience and industry knowledge)
