Amour Recruitment is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to work for a growing company based in Portsmouth.
This role is pivotal in coordinating and managing the transportation of containers across the UK.
Duties include:
- Monitoring and coordinating transportation schedules
- Providing excellent customer service to clients.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Making sure the efficient delivery of goods by giving clear instructions to drivers
- Keep an eye on transport costs and performance metrics to drive efficiency and profitability.
Personal requirements:
- Previous experience in logistics and transportation is a must
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record / Preferred CPC License
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Hours: Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm (flexible to take home laptop/mobile to be on call in the evening or over the weekend on a shift basis with other colleagues)
Salary: from £30,000 depending on experience
